Signing In to Plotly Cloud

Plotly Cloud supports multiple sign-in methods.

When you first create your account, you can choose from the following options:
* Provide your name and email address
* Use your Google account
* Use your Microsoft account (only personal Microsoft accounts are supported)
* Use your GitHub account

Tip: Trouble signing in? Be sure to check your spam folder if Plotly Cloud sent you an email confirmation message or a one-time sign-in code.

The next time you sign in, you’ll be asked to continue with your email address or any of the supported accounts. Any method that has the same underlying email address will take you to the same Plotly Cloud account.

Configuring Single Sign-On

If your team is on the Enterprise plan, you can set up single sign-on (SSO) for all members of the team. With SSO set up, your team members see the sign-in screen that they are familiar with when using other tools in your organization, including any multi-factor authentication (MFA) steps required by your organization.

Prerequisites:

To set up SSO:

  1. In Plotly Cloud, go to the Team settings.
  2. Under Single Sign-On, select Set up SSO. The Configure Single Sign-On page opens in a new tab.

  1. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

Good to know: You can pause the setup at any point. Go back to the Team settings and select Continue setup to resume where you left off.

Once set up, you can select Manage to review and edit the configuration, run a test, track sessions, and more.
